How to donate food

Our need increases during the summer as donations lessen. Any and all donations are greatly appreciated

Universal Needs:

[All Year Long]

The Seacoast Family Food Pantry seeks to distribute food that contributes to a healthy and wholesome diet. Some of our most-needed items include:

  • Tuna
  • Peanut butter
  • Canned and dried beans
  • Granola bars
  • Dried fruit
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • 100% fruit jelly
  • Tomato sauce
  • Brown rice & other whole grains
  • Oatmeal
  • Easy-open and small-portion-size items for seniors
  • 100% juice for kids (including juice boxes)
  • Other shelf-stable nutritious items you would want in your cupboards!


Senior Meal Needs:

[All Year Long]

Smaller serving sizes, easy-open containers (e.g., pop-top cans), low-sodium and low-sugar options, as well as high-fiber and high-protein items are especially important for our seniors!

  • Fiber plus, or other type of granola bar
  • Grits
  • Pasta – preferably whole wheat
  • Instant oatmeal
  • Instant cream of wheat
  • Raisin bran, toasted oats, corn flakes or similar-type low-sugar breakfast cereal
  • Pop-top tuna and chicken
  • Peanut butter
  • Cheese/and or peanut butter crackers
  • Nuts
  • Shelf-stable milk
  • 100% fruit juice
  • Animal crackers
  • Apple sauce
  • Decaf coffee
  • Ensure/boost-type nutrition drinks

Summer Meals 4 Kids Needs:

We always need support for our Summer Meals 4 Kids programs. Please consider donating some of these kid- friendly items:

  • Pop-top tuna and chicken
  • 100% fruit juice boxes
  • Raisins
  • Graham crackers
  • Animal crackers
  • Unsweetened applesauce
  • Peanut butter
  • Cheese/and or peanut butter crackers
  • Nuts
  • Fruit cups (in 100% juice)
  • Pretzels
  • Granola bars
  • 100% fruit wraps / snacks
  • Raisin bran, toasted oats, corn flakes or similar-type low-sugar breakfast cereal
  • Instant oatmeal
  • Instant cream of wheat


Please Do Not Donate:

For the safety of the individuals we serve, the Seacoast Family Food Pantry cannot accept the following types of food donations:

  • Items that have been opened or partially used
  • Products not in their original packaging
  • Products with no ingredient information labels
  • Homemade or home-canned foods
  • Products that have become contaminated
  • Expired products
  • Alcoholic beverages
  • Clothing
  • Toys
